The European Union (EU) provided a grant of 5 million Euros for the 'Transformation to Technical Textiles in Denizli' project. DTO President Uğur Erdoğan hosted Turkey Home Textile Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TETSİAD) President Hasan Hüseyin Bayram and the accompanying board members. Denizli Exporters Association (DENİB) and TETSİAD Vice President İbrahim Uzunoğlu and accompanying delegation exchanged views with Erdoğan about the textile sector. KARL MAYER ROTAL expanded its denim centre of excellence with an in-house show for its customers and celebrated at the same time the 50th anniversary of its birth. 1st Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress (Dornbirn-Gfc) Asia to be held in 3-4 Mar 2020  in Daegu, South Korea. A close partnership between the Austrian Fibers Institute and KOFOTI as well as DYETEC from Korea enables to arrange the 1st Dornbirn-GFC congress for the Asian market. Around 300 till 400 participants from the whole textile chain will be expected to join this special event. An agreement on this cooperation has been signed by October 21st, 2019 in Porto/Portugal. Mr Stefan Flöth has been assigned as a further Managing Director of A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG in Mönchengladbach, Germany, as of January 1st 2019. He has re-joined Monforts in his new role from the Trützschler Group, where he was the MD of Trützschler Nonwovens from 2009 onwards. Having spent his working life in the textile machinery industry, Mr Flöth started his career with Schlafhorst.  Between 1996 and 2009 Stefan Flöth was already a key part of the Monforts team in various roles related to R&D, mechanical design and management of the company’s joint ventures. He is now looking forward to acquainting himself with the current wider Monforts network of customers and suppliers at the forthcoming Techtextil and ITMA 2019 exhibitions in Frankfurt and Barcelona
