Picanol realized another impressive milestone when its 100,000th rapier weaving machine rolled off the production line at its plant in Ieper, Belgium. Picanol is also celebrating 45 years of manufacturing rapier weaving machines in 2020. Once again, this reaffirms the leading role Picanol plays in the rapier weaving machine segment worldwide. The 100,000th rapier weaving machine (an OptiMax-i) will be shipped to the company SAITEX Fabrics, which is based in Long Tho, Vietnam. Picanol demonstrated its latest weaving technology at the third edition of ITMACH India, which took place in Gandhinagar (Gujarat), the most important hub of textile manufacturing in the country. ITMACH India witnessed the Indian premiere of Picanol’s brand new airjet machine, the OmniPlus-i. PICANOL launching new rapier weaving machine GTMax-i 3.0 at ITMA-CITME 2018 Picanol’s newest rapier, the GTMax-i 3.0, will be shown for the first time to the textile world. The GTMax-i 3.0 is building further on the success of GT-Max and GTMax-i. The combination of a redesigned gripper drive and extra reinforced sley drive as well as the integration of the future-oriented BlueBox electronic platform allow for even higher production speeds.
