They can measure the heart rate, as well as monitor soil erosion on slopes, and can even be launched into space for use as space reflectors – as long as they are electrically conductive. The electrical conductivity of warp-knitted textiles is the subject of extensive development work at KARL MAYER. The TM WEFT is Launched Successfully in China

A well attended in-house event was held in Changzhou from15.-18.01.2019 to launch KARL MAYER’s new warp knitting machine with weft insertion. KARL MAYER has developed a new warp knitting machine with weft insertion, the TM WEFT, and successfully launched this new machine at an in-house show held at its Chinese subsidiary in Changzhou. Representatives from more than ten companies came every day between 15 and 18 January 2019 to attend the machine presentation, and these included knitters and weavers, as well as finishers interested in moving into textile production. The guests travelled from all over China, mainly from Jiangsu and Zheijiang, as well as from Shandong and Hebei. They were all impressed by the cost:benefit ratio of the machines on show. KARL MAYER will set trends in an in-house show that will be held at Heimtextile Fair. For the first time after roughly 40 years, KARL MAYER will again take part in Heimtextil in Frankfurt/Main. At the trade fair to be held from 8 to 11 January 2019, this innovative textile machine manufacturer will be introducing some worldwide novelties around the topics of terry fabrics and curtains. For this purpose, the company received from the organizers a stand located in the exhibition’s Trend Forum. There, KARL MAYER will be present on Stand K 65 in Hall 3.0 with an information booth. One of the latest new developments is the scan-to-order function – a feature for the quick and easy ordering of spare parts via a smartphone. KARL MAYER’s WEBSHOP SPARE PARTS is not a static buying system but a tool that is constantly being upgraded and improved. This is available initially for needle units but will later be extended to other components. For this function, KARL MAYER has combined its CHECK PARTS app with the WEBSHOP SPARE PARTS facility. Fine lace makes fine clothes KARL MAYER launched a new generation of highly efficient, multibar fall-plate machines at ITMA 2015. The productivity of the first machine in this range, the MLF 46/24, 242", was twice that of its predecessor. This new machine became very well established on the market, and was upgraded the following year in time for the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2016 exhibition by equipping it with more guide bars. The MLF 60/32 delivers the same efficiency and quality as the low-bar version, but enables a wider range of patterns to be produced.
