A new research project at the Hohenstein Group deals with antimicrobial effects of Lewis acids that are applied on textile surfaces. Results of this work may significantly contribute to countermeasures against multi-resistant bacteria as found, for example, in medical facilities.   The Slovakian Company SCA Gemerská Hôrka enhanced its production lines with the installation of the four-colour TRESU flexo printing units featuring F10 iCon automated ink supply systems. The company reported a ‘step change’ in quality, safety and process efficiency improvements, after installing the new TRESU printing units. Replacing offline single printing units with an ‘open’ ink  supply and chamber, the new TRESU printing units integrate into the production lines, enabling SCA to manufacture its products and apply brand identification graphics, in a single pass for the first time.
